Learn the best practices of managing data on your computer. This workshop will help you work more efficiently and effectively with your files and folders, which will help you maintain a well-organized computer using the Windows 7 operating system.

  • Sort files and folders
  • Search for files and folder
  • Change the view of files and folders
  • Display file extensions and the meaning of file extensions
  • Use the best naming convention for files and folders
  • Practice good file saving strategies
  • Zip and unzip files
  • Save and backup files to external storage devices
  • Eject external media correctly from your computer

Note: This session will be conducted as a seminar. You may bring your laptop with Windows 7 to the session if you wish to follow along on your computer.
