A blog is an abbreviated term for "weblog"; it defines the way websites maintain a rolling newsfeed consisting of frequently updated information (typically following in a reverse chronological order). Blogs can host a variety of information, images, videos, articles, etc. Most blogs however will focus on one thing (i.e. the birth of a new child, origami, Dante`s Divine Comedy, street art in RVA, etc.)

In this workshop provided by Technology Services you will activate your free VCU WordPress account. You will become familiar with the WordPress administrative dashboard in your WordPress account and its tools available; simple customization of your own individual blog in class will occur with the help of a Technology Services` Trainer. There will be handouts provided to ensure that what is discussed and reviewed during the workshop can be revisited.
