Excel Charts

Excel is a spreadsheet program capable of calculating, analyzing, and displaying data. It is easy to create professional looking charts in Excel by choosing a type, style,and layout.

The session explores multiple charting types, for example:

  • Column
  • Line
  • Pie
  • Bar
  • Area
  • XY (scatter)
  • Other

Learning Objectives:

  • Create and modify charts
  • Display charts in multiple environments (both linked and detached from the original spreadsheet)
    • Excel
    • Word
    • PowerPoint
    • Web page
  • Use predefined chart styles and chart layouts for a professional look
  • Add eye-catching formatting to charts
  • Learn and understand how to create Pivot Tables
