This course will cover the features used to format a document for a departmental report and a dissertation, thesis or paper for your academic work. The emphasis will be a consistent style and format.

Learning Objectives:

  • Customizing headers and footers
  • Formatting text and paragraphs
  • Creating standard and customized lists (bulleted and numbered)
  • Creating and modifying tables for a research document
  • Inserting and manipulating graphics, shapes, and SmartArt
  • Importing Excel Charts
  • Reviewing the use of footnotes and endnotes
  • Using section breaks correctly
  • Managing page numbers
  • Creating a Table of Contents
