R is free, open source software used for statistical analysis and reporting.
R is a no cost alternative to SPSS, SAS and JMP.
R is available on the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.
This class will be taught using R for Windows.

    • Histograms
    • Boxplots
    • Side-by-Side Boxplots
    • Scatterplots
    • Annotating plots
    • Adding colors to plots
Learning Objectives: Day 2 (5/31/12) Morning:
  • Introduction to hypothesis testing
  • Introduction to confidence intervals
  • Two sample tests on means and proportions
  • Checking assumptions
  • Chi-Square tests for independence/homogeneity
Learning Objectives: Day 2 (5/31/12) Afternoon:
  • Regression
  • Model Selection
  • ANOVA
  • Multiple Comparisons
  • Logistic Regression

Prerequisites:

Basic/working knowledge of Microsoft Windows.

To fully appreciate this course material, one should have at least a basic understanding of statistical analysis in terms of confidence intervals and hypothesis testing.
