[Grad-Cap Icon] Training

The Green Zone training was created at VCU in 2010 and has been shared nationally and is implemented at most universities complying with best practices in supporting their veteran communities. Green Zone training educates faculty and staff on what veteran students face and offer as they transition out of the military and into the VCU academic environment. Green Zone participants agree to: Attend a 1-hour workshop that provides information and resources related to student veteran issues Display the Green Zone sticker outside their office to let others know they can provide support and information about resources for student veterans Serve as a resource to other faculty, staff or students who have questions about student veteran issues
