This course is designed for K12 teachers of any subject area whose classrooms include students for whom English is a second language. As part of this session, you will learn strategies for adapting instruction for ELLs, understand the policies that shape ESL instruction, and develop intercultural competence for working with families of diverse backgrounds. If you are interested in applying for an ESL endorsement on your teaching license, this session will help you prepare for the TESOL Praxis exam, which is currently the only requirement for a TESOL endorsement in Virginia.
